The entrance to Duck Creek Ranch is via Crystal Lane, a small dirt road that exits Highway 93 a few miles south of Stevensville. Crystal Lane travels east from Highway 93 and soon descends a short hill and traverses an attractive wetland before the driveway enters the property at its northwestern corner. The land is almost entirely flat with expansive views to the west towards the Bitterroot Mountain Range. The home sits at the edge of meadow and is visible immediately upon entering the property. A treeline composed of large cottonwoods and pines sits directly behind the home and defines the edge of the riparian zone. A small pond sits a short distance south of the home and is presided over by a tepee. There is a road and trail system winding through the property eastward from the home toward the river. It is possible to drive/walk from the home right to the water’s edge. A portion of the property stretches across the river but is inaccessible other than by wading or boat. This provides a nice buffer from development across the river. There is also a 40-acre tract of Bitterroot National Forest Land directly adjacent to the property on the southern end allowing direct recreational access on an additional 40 acres.
