Investment Quality Rural Real Estate: A Critical Part of Every Family’s Investment Portfolio

August 13, 2018 | Hall and Hall

Investment Quality Rural Real Estate (IQRRE) should be a critical part of every family’s investment portfolio. It is the one investment that 100 years from now will still be there and will always have value in whatever the currency of the realm is at the time. Whether it is a farm bought to provide income from crops grown or a ranch that naturally produces grass that can be converted to edible protein in the form of meat, there is no more basic fundamental investment quality asset. The great news is that, like rare art, the return on investment can also come from the pleasure one can derive from ownership. AND, unlike rare art, it is very difficult to destroy it, steal it, or devalue it in any significant way.

We manage over 1.2 Million acres for mostly non-resident owners assuring them of a seamless, enjoyable and hopefully profitable experience. We are able to source hundreds of millions of dollars in rural land for our clients each year. Since 1960 government statistics have shown that farmland and grazing land has appreciated in the 5% to 6% range per annum.
