In 2016, we sold 11 southeastern properties totaling 16,000 acres. Each property presented unique challenges requiring an intimate knowledge of the land, as well as our client’s individual goals. We are grateful for the opportunities to work on these diverse landscapes throughout the South.

One of the many enjoyments in brokering ranches are the friendships and relationships with clients we build and experience through the years. Beginning with the adventure of finding that special place, through the journey of the purchase and initial understandings of their new found home, to the completion of the cycle as they learn and change and become part of the life experience they have created.
Watching and sharing in the time our clients spend enjoying their properties is a very special opportunity for us. A favorite time to appreciate a property is in the fall, as it is an amazing time to be a part of all the outdoors has to offer. Whether it is chasing the rutting elk in mid-September, upland bird hunting, fishing for the Fall Browns or trailing cattle for fall shipping, there is not a better time to be out on the land.
Hall and Hall and all our staff work hard to allow for our clients to enjoy the journey they have envisioned. For those of you who own land we wish you success and enjoyment in this season and for those who are still looking for your adventure we look forward to working with you.
Hall and Hall Auctions is excited to release a new promotional video featuring the voice of celebrated television journalist Bill Kurtis that details the art of marketing farms and ranches via auction. The video features spectacular scenery and actual footage of properties selling at auction. Thanks to Aerial Imaging Productions for a job well done.

My first trip to British Columbia was in the summer of 1973, flying in a light private plane to a remote location on the Central Coast to fish for steelhead. Since that early trip, I have returned many times to recreate and work on ranch listings; I continue to explore new places aided by float planes and helicopters.
To grasp what B.C. represents consider it size: equal to Washington, Oregon and California combined with a population of 4,250,000 people, the vast majority living within 50 miles of the U.S. Border. The people who live there are as great and diverse as their Province: hardworking, independent & respectful. I have truly enjoyed my time there over the last 40 years. [Read more...]
Video: Horse Prairie Ranch
Just over 200 years ago Southwest Montana was home to the Native Americans. In August of 1805 Sacajawea was leading Lewis and Clark through her homelands… the lands of the Shoshone Indians. Their supplies were exhausted. They needed horses to continue their journey westward and it was here at what is now known as Horse Prairie Ranch where the expedition found them. [Read more...]
