Scott is a partner and an Auctioneer for Hall and Hall Auctions. He has more than 30 years of auction experience attending auction school in 1986 and opening an auction firm shortly thereafter. Scott is the 2014 Colorado State Champion Auctioneer. He was awarded the 1997, 2002 and 2014 Auction of the Year awards from the NAA, as well as the prestigious Rose Award presented by the Certified Auctioneers Institute. Scott has served as an instructor for the Certified Auctioneers Institute and has been a featured speaker for the auction industry at conferences throughout the United States. He is the past National President and past Chairman of the Board of the National Auctioneers Association. Scott is a licensed Real Estate agent and/or Auctioneer in 26 states. Scott and his wife Krista reside in Eaton, Colorado with their three children. Their hobbies include snow skiing and cheering on the Denver Broncos.

Red Sky is located just a few miles south of the Republican River and just south of the Nebraska state line. The area is agriculturally rich with the countryside dotted with large expanses of farm fields and thick timber bottoms. Some of the nearby small towns include Red Cloud and Franklin, Nebraska, and Lebanon and Smith Center, Kansas.
The Smith Center and Lebanon areas benefit each year from approximately 26 inches of rain with the average high temperature being 66.7 degrees and average low being 40.2 degrees.

Red Sky includes a nice, yet modest, set of improvements. The lodge on Tract 4 is a 42' x 60' Morton building built slab on grade with a large covered front porch. Interior improvements include a large great room with vaulted ceiling, stone fireplace and nice kitchen. There are 5 bedrooms, 2 baths, laundry and storage areas. The interior is nicely finished and feels very comfortable.
The ranch headquarters on Tract 3 include a fairly new machine shed, barn, livestock facilities, storage sheds and grain bins. A 60' x 128' Morton building was recently erected with a sliding door on the east and an overhead door on the south. Other outbuildings consist mostly of livestock facilities and sheds. The property also has a tin covered loft barn, an open front pole building for calving and livestock protection, a utility building with new metal siding, feed pens and a new set of working corrals for shipping. The headquarters site is located in the valley and protected from winter winds by the wooded timber along the creek.
HUNTING
Red Sky benefits immensely from its thick riparian areas and abundance of feed from all the surrounding crops on and off the ranch, creating an area thriving with big game, turkeys, and upland birds. The area is well known for its whitetails, but many do not know about the excellent upland hunting the area has to offer, especially what exists on Red Sky.
FISHING
Red Sky is dotted with over 30± acres of lakes and ponds spread throughout the ranch, providing valuable water for livestock, wild game and its trophy, warm water fisheries.
AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION
The current owner has operated the ranch under a crop rotation planting corn, beans, sorghum and follow-up crops like milo. Red Sky is a productive dryland farm with a conservative yield between 110-120 bushel corn, 40-45 bushel beans and 75-90 bushel sorghum. The owner states that they easily meet these goals every year when they have good moisture. With average rainfall above 25", this is premier dryland farm country!
CATTLE OPERATION
Traditionally the ranch has carried 120 pair year-round with full crop production. The owner has been transitioning this program to a more intensive grazing model with 185 cow/calf pairs, 270 bred heifers and 18 bulls. The ranch is well watered and includes a good set of working facilities, as well as pasture alleys to make rotational grazing efficient.
