Overview
Executive Summary
Designed to be a magnet for multi-generational gatherings, Aspen Grove Ranch combines exceptional improvements with a stunning setting and a multitude of activities within the property, as well as with the accompanying Grand River Ranch amenities. Aspen Grove’s centerpiece 24,400± square foot Main Residence was designed to conform to the land’s topography, as well as to capture the entire panorama and breathtaking views of the surrounding Gore and Williams Fork Mountain Ranges and of the expansive valley below. Renowned architect Jon Gunson skillfully brought the owner’s vision to reality.
The Residence’s plan serves three primary functions – a private wing for the owners, a spacious and dramatic gathering, dining and activity area, and a connected Guest Residence. This led to the overall concept of three structures, placing the Main Residence in the center with the owner’s suite and Guest Residence on each side. The Guest Residence is easily assessed by a connected enclosed bridge or ground-level corridor, and each of these three structures are angled toward the three primary views. Only the highest quality finishes and furnishings were used throughout the Residences, making it a home of refinement, elegance, and comfort. In addition, dead-standing trees were used for certain design and structural elements, lowering the environmental impact of construction.
Some of the Main Residence’s special features include six bedrooms, each with their own bath plus one additional bath; also included are five half-baths, a stone wine cellar, Western-style bar, enormous fireplace, movie theatre, two automatic bowling lanes, and a children’s performance stage and dressing room. The charming Guest Residence has four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom as well as a half-bath on the main level.
The landscape plan is as stunning as the home’s interior, with a covered bridge, cascading waterfalls, ponds, and stone decks. From these outdoor living areas, the splendor of the Rocky Mountains can be enjoyed – dramatic sunrises and sunsets, wildlife, rainbows, and star gazing. The acreage also lends itself delightfully to hiking, horseback riding, hunting, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. An unparalleled retreat has been created.
Aspen Grove Ranch is located in the heart of Colorado ski country – and 60 to 90 minutes from seven major ski resorts – Steamboat, Winter Park, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain. Kremmling, a ranching and recreation-oriented mountain town situated at the confluence of the Colorado and Blue Rivers, is less than ten minutes away. Silverthorne is less than an hour, and Denver is less than two. The NetJets-rated general aviation airport in Kremmling accommodates most private jets, and commercial travelers utilize Denver International Airport. Although the ranch is close to town, airport, and resorts, its location, and setting make it very secluded and secure.
