General Description

Quail Springs Ranch is a combination of excellent grazing land, productive cropland, and tree-covered dunes that flatten out as you travel toward the North Canadian River. The ranch has an abundance of natural clear water with 2.4 miles of north Canadian River frontage and a nice 3±  acre lake by the lodge. There are three additional ponds and a water well at the headquarters that services two water troughs for wildlife and cattle. Location

The ranch is located approximately 120 miles northwest of Oklahoma City and 190 miles northeast of Amarillo, TX. The ranch is in the southeast corner of Woodward County and is easily accessed from U.S. HWY 183 southeast of Woodward. From U.S. HWY 183, head east on E0540 Road for 4.7 miles, then turn north on N2230 Road and drive approximately 2.1 miles, then turn west on E0520 Road and travel 1.3 miles to the ranch gate on the west side of the road. The ranch has only one entryway off the county road which helps ensure privacy for the future owner. The ranch can be accessed via private aircraft from the 3,700 foot grass airstrip located next to the lodge. There is a jet-capable airport approximately 30 miles from the ranch in Woodward with a 5,000 foot runway. Daily commercial flight service is available in Oklahoma City.

Locale

Quail Springs Ranch is located in the central portion of the Western Sand Dune Belts. This area is known for its scattered hills, low mountains, and sand dunes. The sandy areas are covered in native tall grasses such as Big and Little Bluestem, Indian grass, Giant Sandreed, and Switchgrass. Common woody species are Sumac, Sand Plum, Chittamwood, and Cottonwood trees. Woodward has an average rainfall of 25” and a growing season of 190 days. These rolling sand dunes provide ideal cover and the area is known for its clear water. With productive river-bottom land and the natural topography, it is easy to see why this area is known for trophy whitetail deer.

Improvements

In the center of the ranch sits a beautifully remodeled 4,000 square foot lodge containing five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The house has an open concept living area with stunning views of the 3±  acre lake out back. There is a screened in porch in the back with an outdoor fireplace by the lake.
