A 12,700-Acre New Mexico Ranch, a Repository for Native American Artifacts and Rock Carvings, up for Sale

The property is planted with Ponderosa pines and borders a national forest

This sprawling cattle and hunting ranch, which is bordered by the Santa Fe National Forest, is the repository of Native American artifacts, rock carvings known as petroglyphs and remnants of rock buildings erected by early settlers.

Land of the Enchantment Ranch, named after New Mexico’s official nickname, has been in the same hands for decades.

“Ranches of this size are in short supply in New Mexico,” said Jeff Buerger of Hall and Hall. “The location of this private enclave is a prime draw because it’s only an hour’s drive from Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Regional Airport. It’s extraordinarily beautiful.”
