Start with a Shovel! – Congratulations to an Auctioneer Giant
An emotional, genuine, and humorous introduction by Virginia Auction Affiliate John Nicholls provides many anecdotes as to why Scott Shuman is a recent inductee to the NAA Hall of Fame!
His accomplishments are many, and the stories are a window into the many outstanding characteristics that embody the man inducted. We heard of the 28 days spent in the hospital because of a shattered arm broken while exercising a horse, his cattle ranching lineage, and the five-a-day handwritten personal notes to name a few. The umbrella under which Scott holds his most cherished values, which many know as the Cowboy Way, consists of honor, loyalty, integrity, courage, listening, and humility, to name a few. And most importantly, the intense love he has for his family, his children, his grandson, and a granddaughter on the way. And unlike his book “Sold! Sold! Sold! A Million Acres and Counting“, we will mention his wife, Krista, who has stood by his side for 31 years and continues to make every “minor” decision needed.
