A historic Wyoming Ranch located near Glenrock was recently sold to a new owner, True Ranches, who already has extensive holdings in Wyoming. The Bixby Ranch is one of the oldest continuously-running cattle ranches in Wyoming, and has eight homes for both staff and owners including the 100-plus-year-old Carey Mansion and a guest cabin on the river.
The 18th annual Wyoming Stock Growers Land Trust Fundraiser and Barbecue was held in Cody Wyoming at the Rambling M Ranch. Hall and Hall partners Randy Shelton and Mike Fraley, along with their wives attended this year’s barbecue and auction which was hosted by the Morehead and Seyfert families.
It’s lambing season on the 1.2M acre Big Sandy River Ranch in Southwest Wyoming where 70 lambs are born every day. Dating back to 1905, the Basque family continues into its fourth generation running 8,000 sheep on this 3,500 AU ranch operation.
This summer my family rode along with me to Encampment, Wyoming on the slopes of the Sierra Madre Mountains where the beautiful Half Diamond Horseshoe Ranch is located. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent in the Saratoga and Encampment area where we visited Saratoga’s Hot Springs, had several great meals and drove through beautiful country.
