Texas rancher purchases sprawling North Texas ranch listed at $39 million

A local rancher has purchased a massive 9,400-acre ranch in North Texas listed at $39 million, a spokesperson for rural real estate firm Hall and Hall told Chron. The rancher, who was born and raised in Texas, also purchased the wind farm on the ranch. The newfound owner was looking to expand his ranching operation and settled on this sprawling space after looking at multiple ranches, according to Hall and Hall.
Crooked Tree Ranch, located in Albany, includes 54 wind turbines, pastures for animal grazing and a massive home for the owner, according to the listing. Income streams for the property include utilizing the space as a cattle ranch, wind energy farm and a mineral lease.
