N Bar Ranch
Grass Range, MTSteeped in the history of the American West lies the N Bar Ranch spanning more than 60,000± contiguous acres in the foothills of central Montana’s Snowy Mountains, 100 miles north of Billings, Montana.
This 2,460± deeded acre ranch shares a four mile boundary with public land giving an owner direct access into a massive block of US Forest Service land leading into the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness. The East Fork of Rock Creek flows through the property for approximately 1.5 miles and Meadow Creek for about 3/4 mile. A full section of state lease puts the total acreage at 3,100. The ranch compound contains a small caretaker home, shop, garage and other outbuildings. A very large herd of elk roam the property. 560± acres are timbered with lodgepole pine and fir, and the remainder is riparian and open range.
