Sadler Ranch
Sadler, TXSmall recreational property adjoining the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge in northwest Grayson County. Giant trees, rolling topography, and a newly constructed small lake. Rural water and a beautiful log home.
Marquez, Texas, is located at the prominent intersection of US-79 and TX-7 and is easy to get to from any direction on the western edge of Leon County. In the same continual family ownership since before the Texas Revolution, unimproved ranches of this size do not come on the market very often. Long Hollow Ranch is characterized by the abundant running waters of Long Hollow Creek, Mill Creek, and the Navasota River. However, this is not a monotony of the notorious river bottom. Rolling hills, timber, game, and lush grazing for cattle await the next rancher at an end-of-the-road setting. While substantial gas wells are in place, the associated road infrastructure is quite an asset for all-weather access. Several nicely secluded hilltop homesites cover large western and northwestern views, or a secluded homesite could be developed with a new lake in one of the several potential lake sites. Western Leon County enjoys a less humid climate than its neighbors to the south and is an attractive rural community for both agricultural production and recreation alike.
