N Bar Ranch
Grass Range, MTSteeped in the history of the American West lies the N Bar Ranch spanning more than 60,000± contiguous acres in the foothills of central Montana’s Snowy Mountains, 100 miles north of Billings, Montana.
The Bitterroot Elk Haven property consists of 608± acres of prime elk and mule deer hunting ground bordered by United States Forest Service in a year-round immediately accessible location 15 minutes from downtown Hamilton. Commanding views of the Bitterroot and Sapphire range are on tap from virtually every acre, and the pleasing transition zone from open grasslands and winter range to dense timber at the top of the property create a wide range of aesthetic building sites. Elk move daily from the dense timber of adjacent public lands to the open slopes on the property. Operated by the same ranching family for the last 30 years, the property also offers two small off-grid cabins that make a perfect retreat or hunting base camp. Two developed stock tanks provide water for both ranching needs and wildlife. No conservation easement is in place.
