N Bar Ranch
Grass Range, MTSteeped in the history of the American West lies the N Bar Ranch spanning more than 60,000± contiguous acres in the foothills of central Montana’s Snowy Mountains, 100 miles north of Billings, Montana.
The Little Timber Ranch is seven miles northwest of Big Timber, Montana. Tucked in a private valley, the ranch has protected views of the Crazy Mountains to the west and the Yellowstone River coursing along its southern boundary. The main and west forks of Little Timber Creek converge to form a productive riparian corridor with irrigated meadows creating a lush contract to the adjoining cliffs, benches and hills of the valley. This 2,764± deeded acre ranch has been carefully managed under the current owners stewardship and the land shows it from the native grass covering the range to the superb condition of the irrigated fields. As a tributary of the Yellowstone River, the Little Timber Creek is a very productive fishery with stream enhancement in its lower reaches making it very inviting for the migratory and resident trout. The comfortable home and livestock improvements on the ranch are adequate for a small cattle operation.
