The Rapelje Bison ranch consists of approximately 15,950 deeded acres plus a 640± acre state lease. As the name suggests, this highly productive grass ranch has been home to nearly 1,250 bison. The current ownership has liquidated the herd and has chosen not to stock the ranch for the 2021 grazing season. This has allowed the pastures to be rested during the current drought. The owner spared no expense in developing stock water with new wells and an extensive pipeline system that delivers water to numerous tire tanks in multiple pastures. In addition to improving the water, over 100 miles of new flex fence was built replacing the exterior fence and creating additional interior cross-fenced pastures.
