Legendary Texas Ranch Sells in Weeks After 60 Years in One Family

When you think of classic American cattle ranches…

Texas often comes to mind. In April, one of the Lone Star State’s well-known ranches changed hands for the first time in 60 years.

The Y Bar O Ranch, located in far West Texas, was sold recently by the family of original owners, W.B. “Dub” Yarborough and his wife, Kay. The 29,071-acre property was listed at $46,513,600.

According to (Chad) Duggar, part of what made the ranch stand out was how well it had been maintained over the years. He said the Yarborough family viewed stewardship of the land as part of a broader responsibility.
